so apparently there's an all campus dance today at PC ballroom. as an ucsd student, i'm kinda miffed that i had no idea until today that there was a techno infused dance fest on a thursday night... as i'm walking out of my physics problem session of course. i passed a gaggle of freshmen girls drenched in perfume and caked in make-up, and the metrosexified gansta guys looking for some fresh new booties to score and wondered if i'm missing out on college life, all over again.
granted, i have a quiz tomorrow morning and i'm not usually about the whole 'let's go to the dance on thursday and get CRUNK' and i'm probably never gonna be despite what i advertise. it's not like i don't like the club scene- i actually like going to dances.. somewhat. it's the process of getting skanktastic as a display for the score hunters that i despise. i'd rather go with a group of friends and you know, just.. dance. and maybe get some alcohol just to get into the mood..
thus once again, i'm home in front of the blinking screen of the computer and whining like the emo kid i am. but it's ok! because there are also a gaggle of bioengineering girls in our living room indulging in junk food and watching cars.. and my roommates also are in their respective rooms doing the 'same(?)' thing i'm doing.
day overall was ok. i only had one lecture so i was done by 11.. but i had made a promise for lunch with a friend around 12:30... so i wasted 1 hour reading manga.. and being a fucking pushover. man, i don't know how i got sucked into buying a new straightening iron.. but this new one is supposed much better than the ancient one that i've been using since high school.. maybe i'll stop frying my hair and will have those commercial hair for once. the friend and i ended up eating at roundtable (or as i oh so nonchalantly called roundhouse; god i have violence IMBEDDED in my head) and just.. hanging. i was more or so expecting a barrage of "so how's life and what's bothering you" conversation but it was very chill.. so hooray.
after that i just drove around convoy generally being a loser; i did do one necessary errand and spending the rest of the time in mitsuwa trying to see if i needed anything. ended up with a bottle of calpico and box of ichiban. then just to see, i checked out daiso and didn't buy anything. why is it so hard to find cheap water bottles? (i did find one, however, in ralph's! 32oz for $5.. which is betting than the same sized bottles in the bookstore for a whopping $20.. bastards)
wow, this entry is very backward centric.
oh yeah.. there was ONE thing i've been wanting to express this past couple of days.
ahem.
dear ucsd:
if you guys are gonna spend money on making price center into the next hip club, i would like smack your head. why not spend that money on something more useful like figuring out how to fix the damn parking problems? have enough shuttles for accommodate the overflow of students? get new and better equipments for the laboratories? i can go on.. i just don't see why the nightclub/lounge/what the fuck it's called is necessary on campus right now. personally, i don't like the damn constructions. i used to make fun of uci for being under construction indefinitely but sd's getting kinda ridiculous too. *rolls eyes*
