anyways, i'm keeping busy at home doing all things but studying for my impending GRE test. le gasp! but november 2nd! once you've come and gone, i'll be a free woman, you hear? FREE!
things below have been keeping me pretty much occupied at home to a point where i don't see the reason to get out of home. j/k i'll be dropping by sd sooner or later *WINK*
so expensive, but so fun! i was the envy of most of the costco cashiers as they eyed me getting their last wii version of this game. my mom told me she was going to just pick one up the on whim without me there, but declined. good thing too, since she didn't know there were three different versions of the games there. now, i have my entire family addicted to the beatles music now.. mwahah first my family, then the world!
eee! houshin engi kanzenban volume 18 with taikoubou plushie! it was such a rare find at bookoff in sd. i'm so glad i decided to check it out even though it put me off an hour back on the trip back home.. so.worth.it. i will be doing a cosplay from this manga next year, if i ever get to it.. and one day, the entire collection of the kanzenban in original japanese.. instead of the crappy korean translations..
speaking of cosplay, this is a 95% complete version of suzumiya haruhi (google it!) cosplay a la favour for my sister. she wants to dress up as an anime character for halloween and i stupidly agreed to make it for her. it's taken me about 4 days total to get to this, and i cheated a little bit by buying the white shirt instead of making the blouse from scratch. everything else is by hand. oh man, this has been my biggest project next to my sarutobi sasuke cosplay for last year anime expo. however, it's rather rewarding knowing that i can make something out of scratch instead of having to rely on other people. also, i can say my one semester of home ec: sewing class hasn't gone to waste... i think i might make some happi coat in the future just to see if i'm capable.
CAKE! i condemn all you people who scoff at me for having ice cream cake for my 23rd birthday. it was delicious, and i ate it for 3 days. i just ate my last piece right now as i watched good eat. mmm to be a complete fatass.. i still have more cake my cousin-in-law brought. it's so good! it's a regular chocolate sheet cake, but with a little twist; she poured condensed milk alllll over the top to soak it, and then topped it with whipped cream and crushed chocolate candies. crunch and butter finger OMG. oh man, i've had cake for dessert for everyday this week..
last but not least. my presents are slowly arriving. my sister bought me seasons 1-5 of the 2003 tmnt series. well, by bought, i paid for shipping after i painstakingly found them all amazon. freakin' funimation stopped producing them, and my sister and i had gone to 3 different electronic stores before i found out. i returned home fuming and found the dvd's all on amazon in under an hour and had them ordered right then and there. so far i only have season 2, but from the looks of it, they are all on their way and i'll probably get most of them either end of this week or early next week. also, season 1 is a box set with miniature figurine! watch me squeal like a fangirl
*SQUEAL*
on the bottom are my self imposed birthday gifts. while i was geeking around, i found out there were prequel comics for the 2007 TMNT movie. i saw someone who raved about it on her blog and i got curious and searched, only to find that there are no scans. i tried to buy them cheaply on ebay, only to find out that my order fell through. fuming once again, i googled only to find that the comics are about 5 bucks each, and there are 5 comics in total. i would've liked all 5 but i was trying to stay under budget of 20 bucks, and i wasn't too sure whether or not i was interested in getting an april o'neal version...
after reading through all of them, i kinda wish i bought that one too. the fangirl in me is screaming in agony right now..
whelllll, that's about it. i actually did study for the GRE for a bit today, so not as guilty.
i think i feel the sugar in the cake working through me. time to bounce off the walls.
