i drove rica back to her place and during the drive, we were discussing stuff about our name and the seniors leaving. after i dropped her off, i turned the volume back on my radio.. only to hear sarah mclachlan's "i will remember you" playing on 94.1.. rica and i were saying how it'll be so odd after everyone graduates and just start leaving and go on with their future and careers and what not.. and it really kinda sucker punched me in the chest. as rica said, the inside jokes, the familiar grounds, all these things we've come to enjoy as a group will be skewed.. granted we could get amazing newbies next year and just go on being the goofy people we are.. but still.. after saying bye to scott tonight i realized how sad it's going to be this year.. it really is..
hey scott! i think i remember you saying how you listen to sarah mclachlan.. this song just really reminded me of you right after we departed the bonfire. hope you have a safe drive tomorrow, and we'll see each other soon. yes?
